Last February, the City of Chico took charge of the animal shelter formerly ran by the Butte Humane Society. What does this change mean to the stray and surrendered animals in Chico? On the phone with me today is Tracy Mohr, Animal Services Manager with the Chico Animal Shelter. We will be discussing the recent policy changes that will affect the shelter’s animal acceptance policies and positively impact the lives of the animals that enter the Fair Street facility. Tune in today at FM 90.1 KZFR in Chico or online at www.kzfr.org at 5:30pm PST.
Chicoans, this is a very important topic and should prove to be informative. If you’re curious as to what the policy changes will be and how it’ll impact the stray, surrendered (owner relinquished) and feral cats, you should definitely tune in.
And, as always, be good humans.
