However, a proper diet is needed to thrive on a plant-based diet, so what should someone do to achieve a healthy, long-term diet? On today’s Sentients, my guest will be Jack Norris, registered dietitian and co-founder of Vegan Outreach. We’ll be talking about some of the misconceptions surrounding a vegan lifestyle and common mistakes new vegans make.

  1. Excellent info! My usual response to folks who want to discredit a vegan diet because it must include a b12 supplement is to remind them that 99% of all the nonhumans raised as food are taking nutritional supplements daily. Anyone can search the web for “livestock supplements” and see the lists go on forever with assorted minerals and vitamins. So if it’s okay to eat animals who’ve been fed a multitude of supplements – Why not eat a healthy plant based diet and take just one b12 replacement instead? Makes sense – Right?

Thanks for a very informative interview on how easy it is to remain healthy while eating compassionately. ;)
